SUNSET BEACH CA, (Feb 7th, 2012) – It’s OFFICIAL, the 2012 version of “Lugz Kidz Christmas in July” will start on the race track Friday evening July 27th, and head BACK to the beach Saturday July 28th for surfing, sun and NASCAR themed video games!

K1 Speed Irvine will host “Laps 4 Little Ones” Celebrity/Media electric kart and Radio Control car races. Co-partners Lucas Oil & The L.A. Racing Experience will present the kick-off to the weekend’s events at 6:00pm with the Celebrity Radio Control car/truck race followed by the Celebrity/Media Electric Kart race inside on K1 Speed’s premiere road course race tracks. The event is open to the public with a portion of the proceeds supporting the “Lugz Kidz” Christmas in July beach barbeque and surf event the following day July 28th and various Southern California Pediatric cancer organizations.

National and local media coverage includes AM830 KLAA in association with ESPN, Angels Radio, Spanish and bilingual radio & TV and a special edition LIVE radio and TV broadcast with hosts Gordon “Lug Nutzz” Stewart & Christopher (Peter Brady) Knight!

early for kid’s battling Cancer

WHAT: “Lugz Kidz” 2nd annual Christmas in July for terminally ill children battling life threatening illnesses. Snow will be replaced by warm Southern California sand. Reindeer will be replaced by 10 identical “Longboard’s” with professional surfer’s providing paddle out’s for patients, and their siblings. Wetsuits, boogie boards will be provided. Action Sports/ Motorsports displays, games and exhibitions will highlight the event. A great beach style BBQ with food, drinks, and snacks will be provided for every patient, with a special appearance by “Surfin Santa” with gifts for every patient invited.
